Homemade Cardamom Granola
A warm and aromatic homemade granola with cardamom, oats, and seeds, lightly sweetened with honey and baked until crisp.

Ingredients
- 15 dl (6 cups) rolled oats
- 100 g (3.5 oz) honey
- 2 dl (¾ cup) water
- 60 g (2.1 oz) coconut oil
- 1.5 tsp cardamom
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 1.5 dl (⅔ cup) pumpkin seeds
- 1.5 dl (⅔ cup) sunflower seeds
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F) using the convection (fan) setting.
- Add the rolled oats, cardamom, and salt to a large mixing bowl and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, combine the water and honey and stir until fully dissolved. Set aside.
- Melt the coconut oil if it is solid.
- Pour the honey mixture into the oats and mix thoroughly.
- Add the melted coconut oil and mix again until everything is evenly coated.
- Divide the mixture evenly between two large baking trays.
- Bake for 20–23 minutes, stirring once after about 15 minutes for even browning.
Seeds
- Spread the pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds on a baking tray.
- Place them in the still-warm oven after removing the granola.
- Let them bake for about 10 minutes using residual heat.
Final Assembly
- Let the granola and seeds cool completely.
- Mix the seeds into the granola.
- Store in an airtight container.
