Carob Chocolate-Style Spread Duo

Two naturally sweet chocolate-style spreads made with carob, nuts, and seeds — perfect as toppings, spreads, or dessert additions.

Ingredients

Chocolate Sauce #1

  • 2 dl (¾ cup) peanut butter
  • 1 dl (⅖ cup) tahini
  • 1 dl (⅖ cup) carob powder
  • 1 dl (⅖ cup) honey
  • 2 dl (¾ cup) warm water
  • A pinch of salt

Chocolate Sauce #2

  • 2.5 dl (1 cup) natural peanuts
  • 1.5 dl (⅔ cup) sesame seeds
  • 1.5 dl (⅔ cup) carob powder
  • 1 dl (⅖ cup) honey
  • 3.5 dl (1.5 cups) water
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

Chocolate Sauce #1

  1. Add peanut butter, tahini, carob powder, honey, warm water, and salt to a blender.
  2. Blend until completely smooth and creamy.
  3. The consistency is thick.

Chocolate Sauce #2

  1. Lightly toast the peanuts in a pan over medium heat until fragrant, then set aside.
  2. Toast the sesame seeds until slightly golden, then set aside.
  3. Add the toasted peanuts, sesame seeds, carob powder, honey, water, and salt to a blender.
  4. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  5. The consistency is thick.
